The Surine Regency Series I is a uniquely voiced instrument that combines the attributes of both semi-hollow body and solid body basses. Its reduced-size headstock, slender neck profile and upper horn extending to the 12th fret ensure balance of the instrument, regardless of string configuration, for both standing and sitting positions. Its extended range fingerboard integrates with the design of the soundhole which traverses the neck core and allows sound to enter the sound chambers of both wings. Its double-cutaways allow access to the upper register. The magnetic pickup is positioned under specific harmonics to achieve superior fingerstyle tone. The piezo pickup serves as a treble enhancer.
The Honduras mahogany body core, combined with a flamed maple neck and ebony fingerboard, provide a rich sonic spectrum with exceptionally defined lows, mids and highs. You may custom tailor the sonic quality of your instrument by your selection of exotic wood caps.
