The Surine Homage Series III respectfully pays homage to an American classic, the Fender® Jazz® Bass, but is designed to meet the demands of today's players. The fingerboard extends to 24 frets, providing two full octaves. The body is more slender with larger cutaways to allow access to the upper register. The neck pickup is positioned away from the end of the fingerboard to accommodate slapstyle technique. The bridge pickup is positioned under specific harmonics to achieve superior fingerstyle tone. The electronics are configured to provide maximum versatility within a simple and unobtrusive layout.

Solid wood body wings constructed from Honduras mahogany, rock maple or alder, combined with a rock maple neck and rosewood fingerboard provide a rich sonic spectrum with very defined lows, mids and highs.
