The Surine Homage Series I respectfully pays homage to an American classic, the Fender Jazz Bass, but is designed to meet the demands of today's players. The fingerboard extends to 24 frets, providing two full octaves. The body is more slender with larger cutaways to allow access to the upper register. The neck pickup is positioned away from the end of the fingerboard to accommodate slapstyle technique. The bridge pickup is positioned under specific harmonics to achieve superior fingerstyle tone. The electronics are configured to provide maximum versatility within a simple and unobtrusive layout.

The Honduras mahogany body core, combined with a flamed maple neck and ebony fingerboard, provide a rich sonic spectrum with exceptionally defined lows, mids and highs. You may custom tailor the sonic quality of your instrument by your selection of exotic wood caps.
